When will “retro” film cameras become a thing?
Smartass answer: Now that Kodak is in Chapter 11, one could argue that there is no such thing as a non-retro film camera.
But more seriously, Lomo, and old Polaroids, Leicas and to a lesser extent Yashicas have always had a cult following, and (though I live in Williamsburg, so my experience is tainted) I’ve been seeing more and more of those things out and about.
So, in summation, they’re already a thing, and as film gets harder and harder to acquire and use, and as the relative novelty of analog cameras increases, they’ll become more of a thing.
